Mining is a loop of clearing overburden, shoring tunnels, and matching tools to the gold form each claim favors. Start with dust-friendly pans on shallow ground, graduate to flakes where water and classifying help, and only chase nuggets once explosives and supports are online.

• Revisit older dust claims after sluice upgrades; volume changes the math.
